Karen’s career has spanned over 25 years in mainstream and digital media communications working for major multi-national advertising and media agencies in both Australia and the UK where she progressed to CEO of MediaCom Australia, one of the largest media communications agencies in the country. Owned by WPP, the largest multi-faceted communications organisation in the world, Karen was able to integrate all communication channels into cohesive and seamless media strategies for her clients from initial consumer research to post campaign ROI modelling.
She also successfully integrated Beyond Interactive, a specialist digital communications company owned by WPP into MediaCom Australia which provided seamless mainstream and digital communication channels for her clients.
To satisfy her entrepreneurial spirit, in dual partnership she founded Axis Media Communications, the first digital ‘mobile’ company in Australia that provided consultancy services to mobile carriers to assist in the monetisation of their medium whilst educating the advertising/media industry on mobile advertising opportunities.
Karen’s great passion is understanding consumer behaviour and her greatest strength is her leadership capability that results in building great cultures and positive working environments.
She lives in Melbourne with her husband and has one child, 2 stepchildren and a brown dog called Ollie.
