Q&A with Kate:
What gets you up in the morning?
I am a people person who gains great personal enjoyment from discussing and developing new ideas/concepts.
What was your motivation behind joining the Startmesh Team?
When I first met the StartMesh Team I was instantly impressed by their vision and wanted to be a part of the journey. It is fantastic to partner with likeminded people who share a common passion for new ideas and concepts, and sharing my skills and experience from organically funded start-up/scale-up global businesses.
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would that be and why?
My next dinner guest would have to be Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama exemplifies a modern, strong, intelligent, successful leader who is entirely relatable and firmly has her feet on the ground. Michelle shares my passion for a balance between a successful career, family life and personal achievement. Finally I admire Michelle’s ability to be a serious and intelligent woman who is equally valued for her grace, pizzazz and humour.
What is one of your “can’t live without” systems/tech platforms you rely on on a daily basis
Wifi/Internet would definitely be one of my “can’t live without” platforms, given the panic that ensues in our home when someone reboots a router or there is a network outage. I love connectivity and the seamless ability to move between devices to perform the task at hand.
What is the one thing that we wouldn’t know about Kate Goss…from her LinkedIn profile?
I love gardening, which is the slowest form of moving art. I love planting seasonal themes in my front yard which acts as a conversation starter with my neighbours. Each season I plant a different theme including a front yard full of vegetables for the neighbours (including pumpkins & Beetroot), butterfly attracting plants and giant sunflowers that tower over kids heads.
